One Journey Through
A World of Stories
"We must be willing to get rid of the life we've planned, so as to have the life that is waiting for us."
- Joseph Campbell
"Free the hands...
and the heart will follow"
Words that came to mind while creating this short climbing film
I hope this film conveys the soul-itching I feel when too much of my day lacks the freedom and responsibility that climbing demands of one's hands.

The office - computers, typing, shaking hands - there is so little physical expression there...so little mobility.
I find SO MUCH PEACE in the act of climbing...No, not just "the act" - the whole experience. The journey.

Everything from packing the bag and high-tailing it out of town, to losing myself in the moments of movement (or stillness) that compose that beautiful, terrifying, dance.

On the rock, my hands know their job: HOLD ON as the rest of the body contorts and flexes to follow. I trust them with my life...and through that trust self-confidence is born...and through that confidence and self-awareness, freedom and peace.

Free your hands! It could save your life!
